It is a deep irony that the moment in one's life in which you are most deeply honoured & unabashedly cherished might come when you are unable to bear witness to this beautiful part of your own story.

How might our relationships be deepened, our purpose clarified, and the realization of the meaning and sacredness of our own lives be discovered, if we could experience floating in the gentle waters of our own wakes?

Here is a chance to do just that. To have an end of life tribute whilst you are alive, to glimpse the legacy you will leave while you can still enjoy it.

An opportunity to be awake during your wake!

Allow us to create and host your own Wide Awake Wake. A celebration of your life, and exploration of your life story past, present, and future.

This is a beautiful chance for affirming the meaningful connections that define your relationships. A chance to identify your contributions and gifts to your tribe and the wider world, and for hearing both your real and ideal self-honoured and remembered by loved ones.

Whether or not you would like to experience a celebration of your own life, or help someone else see the mark they've created in the world memorialized, we can help you organize a party that your friends and family will talk about for years to come.

Endpowered Salons are a chance for us to speak of death in a relaxed and intimate setting. We offer to host a conversational salon in your space or ours, to explore the ways in which life informs death and vice versa.

We hope to engender an inspiring and enjoyable atmosphere in which we can change the conversation and challenge our unspoken ideas about death as a somber spectre to hide from until we are faced with it.

These salons serve as a perfect and easy introduction to a hard and layered subject, a way to plan for a life that lends itself to legacy, and a legacy that informs your best life. We can play hosts to a group you already have in mind, or you can join our list and meet new people for a new experience.

Our vision is both death focused and death inspired, we are interested in a holistic approach that takes in the importance of the entire path from cradle to grave. One of the most powerful gifts that the reality of death can grant us is the chance to engage in a death-informed existence; a realization that by its mere fragility and transitory nature, life is meant at its best to be treated as mindfully and purposefully as possible.

We feel Endspired to offer a workshop for Youth, an early chance for Young Adults to create their best path starting now. A chance to uncover their potential for mindful, rich living. An opportunity to begin the bucket list while their excuses are few and their time is more plentiful. A blueprint to develop joy habits and learn the hows of self-awareness and being present for all the gifts each moment can offer.

Fun and interactive, our workshops are a way to allow a heavy subject to shine a light on the beauty of our best path forward.

When the possibility of death introduces itself as a reality, it can organically serve as a maieutic teacher, turning us into hopeful philosophers and theorizers, sometimes laying a heavy finger under the word irony in our experience dictionary.

How often do the moments overflowing with life remind us of the ephemeral fragility of our existence? How many times has the spectre of death created a deep gratitude for life?

In this work as Thanadoulas, we hope to offer support in areas along the path. From the parts where death seems unimaginable to the parts where it seems inevitable. We wish to find and honor this one inescapable truth; life and death are connected and give meaning to each other in a cycle as endless as we choose to see it and make it.

Our deaths can matter as much as our lives.  Our vibrant stories can become valuable legacies that feed our own joy and understanding whilst we live, and the joy and understanding of generations to come when we depart.

On this journey, we hope to experience moments with you in which looking back can grant us the strength to look forward into what lies ahead.

Why Choose

Through her private practice, and as a complement to her work with Embracing Daisies, Donna Janda also offers counselling, with a focus on dealing with loss around the areas of miscarriage & infertility. Although it can carry the same weight and grief as other deaths, this is an area of loss that can be overlooked, with few resources for support, encouragement, and counselling in order to help women and families progress toward healing and acceptance.

We often struggle to create language to express and acknowledge the feelings and trauma around these issues, and it is crucial that we create a climate that fosters understanding and validation.

Donna offers both one on one care for individuals and families, as well as group sessions that offer the wider support and connection between people with shared experiences. Online counselling is also available for convenience and consistency of care.

Since Donna is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, your sessions may be covered through your insurance.

As a complement to her work with Embracing Daisies, Ananda Xela also offers her skills as a Personal Growth Coach, with an emphasis on Building Joy Practice and Deepening Perspectives.

One of the best ways to reframe negative thoughts and limiting perspectives is to put in the work of creating a personalized happiness habit and a mindful awareness practice.

When one has a rich and extensive arsenal of methods for generating their own epiphanies and equanimities, the potential for deep play, meaning-filled work, and big life abounds.

Often, we don't give our best effort to fleshing out our own bliss potential, leaving it to externals and the muse, and too late can come too soon.

Having a full storehouse of gratitudes and ways to see things from different angles can also enhance our resiliency in the face of hardship and loss, giving us that extra bit of sangfroid and strength.

Ananda Xela offers both in-person appointments and online services for convenience, no matter your schedule.

One of the most consistent feelings that people express after a funeral or a loss is, firstly, regret that they didn't do more whilst the person was living, and secondly, the desire to invest more in treating their own life, in all aspects, more mindfully and purposefully.

In our work environments, we can often struggle to wholly be ourselves, to be fully present. There is an unspoken idea that we leave ourselves at the door, bringing a strong chin and an energy drink inside, and return to ourselves upon exiting the workplace.

The Endpowered Workplace is a space where emotional intelligence, empathetic understanding, and self-awareness, can allow you to stay in a mindful and vibrant space throughout your entire day.

The equanimity that comes from treating life as both fragile and precious can inform the way we work and create in powerful ways. We offer the Endpowered Workplace to companies and organizations as an solution for Team Building and Morale Improvement.

Through a series of fun activities that encourage self-awareness, better communication, and empathy amongst coworkers, we want to help increase employee satisfaction, mindfulness, and a better understanding of what we can bring to our jobs that optimizes our skill set and personal enjoyment at work.
