Along with her current work as a Thanadoula practitioner, Donna Janda is a Registered Social Worker, with over a decade of experience in the field. She has degrees in Social Work, Psychology and Linguistics, along with a Teaching Certificate from York University, in Toronto.

Donna believes that this work connects with her skills and humanity on many levels, from her ability to turn taking care of business into an art, to her experience working as a support to people in crisis.

As a grateful and eternal student of life who loves to learn as much as she teaches, Donna knows that shared experiences can help add resonance to our individual stories and the stories of the human collective.

Donna looks forward to providing the attention to detail and organization that allows clients to focus on the forest without getting lost in the trees.

When not at work, she can be found exploring new places with her family, volunteering her time to her larger tribe, discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary, and saying yes to adventure when it sends an invitation.

Ananda Xela

Ananda Xela is a Thanadoula practitioner and Life Coach with over 20 years of experience in the field of Social Work, who has trained with the International End of Life Doula Association, as well as attended workshops at the Institute of Traditional Medicine.

Ananda feels that Embracing Daisies, by it's very nature, taps into her best and deepest self. She holds deep gratitude for the way in which the reality of death has informed the quality of her life, and pushed her towards a wilder and more authentic existence.

When she isn't at work, Ananda can be found exploring wild spaces in both nature and humans, staying up all hours in the pursuit of conversations that resemble the best jazz, and wooing the muse.

Ananda looks forward to helping her clients create legacies that shine a beautiful light on all that they are, in poetry, prose, picture and haiku.
